Bridges: replacing one or multiple missing teeth
A bridge replaces one or more missing teeth with a fixed construction that is supported by the neighbouring teeth or implants. This restores chewing function and helps the dental arch maintain its shape.
The bridge is custom-made in shape and colour to match your existing teeth. This makes it as discreet as possible in everyday life, helping you smile and eat with more confidence.
When is a bridge a good choice
A bridge is especially suitable when one or a few teeth are missing and the neighbouring teeth are strong enough to provide support. When implants are not possible, a bridge can also be a fixed solution.
- Fixed replacement of missing teeth
- Restores chewing function and speech
- Helps prevent neighbouring teeth from tilting or drifting
- Natural shape and colour, matching your teeth
Before placing a bridge, the abutments—such as two neighbouring teeth—are prepared and shaped. Impressions or scans are then taken. The laboratory fabricates the bridge precisely to fit, after which it is placed at a follow-up appointment.
It is important to clean the bridge and the neighbouring teeth properly, including underneath the bridge span. We will show you the best way to do this, for example with special interdental brushes or floss. This helps keep the bridge in good condition for as long as possible.
